Moviebase out of sync with Trakt

Hi,

I’ve been using Moviebase on Android since around 2018 to keep track of my watched movies and TV shows. My data is synced with Trakt.

Recently I noticed that some items which are correctly marked as watched on Trakt are not shown as watched in Moviebase.

One example is the movie “Enola Holmes”. I watched it in 2020, and it is still correctly marked as watched on Trakt. The Trakt entry also contains the correct IMDb and TMDB links. However, in Moviebase the same movie is not marked as watched.

I have attached screenshots showing:

  • the movie marked as watched on Trakt

  • the IMDb/TMDB links on Trakt

  • the same movie not being marked as watched in Moviebase

This makes me think that the Trakt watch history is not being fully imported or correctly matched in Moviebase, even though the metadata links appear to be available.

Could you please check whether there is a known sync or mapping issue between Trakt and Moviebase for watched history?

    Over the last few days, several new Moviebase versions have been released, so I tested the sync behavior again.

    I believe it was around version 7.0.3 or 7.0.4 when I first tried the following:

    • cleared the Moviebase app cache

    • cleared the Moviebase app data

    • restarted the app

    • connected Trakt again

    • performed a new sync

    After that, at least all of my TV shows were visible again.

    However, after clearing the app data, my Moviebase Prime Lifetime license was no longer active and I have not been able to restore it.

    With version 7.0.5, I then tried disconnecting Trakt and reconnecting it again. After the sync, all of my movies were also visible again. So the Trakt sync issue seems to be mostly fixed for me now, at least after reconnecting Trakt.

    The remaining problem is that Moviebase Prime still cannot be restored, even though I previously had a Lifetime license.

    Same here… my movie watched-status is shown correctly on trakt, moviebase “forgot" everything prior to december 2025. Since I’m using moviebase & trakt for years now, I think moviebase lost these dates somehow. Fortunately it didn’t delete any data on trakt…

    I'm seeing the same problem with syncing Moviebase with my Trakt account. Shows I'm either currently watching or completed watching on Trakt or showing up in Moviebase the same way. DAYS OF OUR LIVES as an example. I've watched 58 out of 61 seasons on Trakt but on Moviebase NO SEASONS are marked as watched. I'm sending pictures, sorry if some are duplicates 🤔
