Hello Moviebase Team,
I am a regular user of Moviebase, and I really enjoy using the app to track movies, TV shows, anime, and cartoons. I would like to suggest some features and improvements that could make the app even better:
1. In-app messaging
Please consider adding private messaging between users and friends. This would allow us to communicate directly inside Moviebase.
2. Share movies and shows with friends
When I find a movie, TV show, anime, or cartoon that I like, I would like to send it directly to a friend from inside Moviebase, instead of taking a screenshot and using another app such as WhatsApp or Telegram.
3. Better shared content cards
When sending a work to a friend, it would be great if it appeared as a card showing the poster, title, rating, and basic information, with a button to open its page directly in Moviebase.
4. Sharing from anywhere
The sharing option should be available from search results, watchlists, collections, and the work's page, making it quick and easy to recommend something.
5. Notifications
It would be useful to receive notifications when a friend sends a message or shares a movie, show, anime, or other work.
6. Make Moviebase more social
These features could make Moviebase more than just a tracking app. It could become a place where people discover, recommend, and discuss what they watch together.
7. Previous background/design
I also preferred the previous background and visual style. When opening a movie, show, or list, the old design felt more attractive and immersive. Please consider bringing back the previous background or giving users an option to choose between the old and new style.
8. Combine the old and new design
I understand that the new design is part of improving the app, but I think the best experience would be to keep the new improvements while bringing back the visual feeling of the previous design.
9. All Watched section
As a user who watches different types of content, I would like a dedicated “All Watched” section that automatically includes everything I have watched—movies, TV shows, anime, cartoons, and other supported content—in one place. I know the Watched feature already exists, but I mean a separate combined section, without requiring users to create their own custom list. Filters for Movies, TV Shows, Anime, and Cartoons would also be very useful.
