I thought the message to indicate when a sync was underway was a nice addition in version 6. it looks like that’s not in versions 7. Could we get it back?
There is a sync indicator in the account sheet. But I will think where we can add it here.

Before, the message that Google sync was underway would appear on the Progress page, when an automatic sync happened and when I forced a sync by scrolling down. I am sometimes seeing the spinning indicator, probably when a sync is happening, but that’s a lot less clear. I guess I really liked the positive affirmation when a sync was happening, particularly because we have had so many sync problems.
