Additional Problems with Device Synchronizationin in Version 6

After an initial burst of activity catching up numerous synchronizations and the appearance that new updates were being reflected in a reasonable amount of time on secondary devices, something has changed. Now, new episodes marked as watched and some changes to personal lists are not being reflected on a secondary device in a reasonable amount of time. I have several examples. I have marked as watched several new episodes of “Dexter: New Blood”, “Dexter: Resurrection”, “FBI”, “NCIS”, and “NCIS:Origins”. None of these are showing up correctly on my secondary devices. In addition, changes to my personal lists are not being updated on the secondary device properly. It looked as though this had all been fixed, but now it’s back to not working.

    I am working on a new server sync for episodes, which will come in the next version.

      I haven’t had time to do a complete analysis yet, but it appears that the just released version 6.5.0 has made a major improvement in episode sync. Both my secondary devices seem to very closely reflect the status on my primary device. That hasn’t been the case in a while. The watched episodes seemed to sync up very quickly after the new version was installed on all the devices. There does still seem to be some delay in reflecting all changes in personal lists on the secondary devices. I will investigate more and report back. Thanks for this. So far it seems to be quite an improvement.

        Thanks for the feedback. I moved the watched episodes to a new, faster database on the server side.

        The other lists and personal lists will be updated in the next version when the watched episodes list is stable.
